Alumni gathering in Cashiers, NC

On the weekend of Aug 22 – 24 about 40 Brothers of Delta Epsilon and their wives (Roses) gathered at High Hampton Inn in Cashiers NC. Fifteen of those are some of the original Brothers and pledges of Delta Epsilon when it was established in May of 1966. Brothers from the first several years of the chapter were also present. (See attached photo taken that Sat evening) Needless to say it was a great weekend. A big thanks to Laura Neath Black (Possum) for making all the arrangements and making sure we all gathered and had a good time. Forty Eight years and still going strong. Not too bad!

At the Sat evening meal, the Brothers were challenged to raise money to pay off the mortgage of the David A. Chase Kappa Alpha “House in the Woods” The goal is to raise $50,000 in the next two years to get this done. Getting the goal met in less than two year will be great, so give it your consideration for what you can do to help. In 2016 the chapter will be 50 years old. What better time to have a mortgage burning! A special celebration for our 50th year will be in the planning stages next year. So be on the watch for the announcement and do everything possible to be back in The Berry for that celebration.
